Message I have used stainless tubing for fuel lines many times on vintage hot rods and muscle car restorations. You can get insulated/cushioned mounting clamps to prevent chaffing. As long as the lines are routed and secured properly, chaffing shouldn't be an issue. Sections of flexible hose should be used at any points that can move independantly of each other. You will also need a good tubing bender, cutter, and a quality flaring tool with the proper dies for AN flares. I have a hydraulic flaring tool that makes the job much easier.

On my Z, I plan to run 1/2" supply and 3/8 return SS tubing in place of the OE hard lines and I will use PTFE braided sections with AN fittings to connect the hard lines to the fuel pump module, fuel filter, and pressure regulator.
